A Movie I Didn’t Altogether Want
Usually I think of myself as a very practical person. But recently I’ve done something that was far from practical, as even the most practical do. This thing has to do with Transformers. You see, I enjoyed the first Transformers movie and when the second movie came out I was cautiously optimistic, which turned out to be more optimistic than I should’ve been. The second movie was terrible, sporting obligatory sexual humor, a bad plot and characters that were ridiculous to say the least. And yet, when I went to Wal-Mart the other night and saw the blu-ray for Transformers 2, I bought it. I don’t know if I bought it because I already had the first one on blu-ray and I figured that if I had one I might has well have them both, or if it was because the blu-ray was cheaper than the DVD.
So, I bought a movie that I didn’t altogether like when I saw it, just to have the full set. It reminds me of how, in 1998, I ended up with every Mortal Kombat soundtrack in existence.
